Clearly Magnesium Bisglycinate is pure magnesium bisglycinate, not buffered with magnesium oxide, in a plant-based capsule. 100 mg magnesium per capsule, 60 capsules per pouch.
What's in two capsules
1,667 mg magnesium bisglycinate with 12% elemental magnesium, which gives 200 mg magnesium: 53% of the daily reference intake. One capsule gives 100 mg. The capsule is hypromellose (plant-based); rice starch and MCT powder fill it evenly.
What bisglycinate is
Magnesium is always bound to another compound. In bisglycinate it is bound to two molecules of glycine, the smallest amino acid. That bond is what makes the form distinct from magnesium oxide, citrate or malate, and the reason it holds 10 to 14% elemental magnesium.
Why not buffered
Many brands mix bisglycinate with magnesium oxide, a cheap form with a high elemental value, and still call it bisglycinate. You can tell by the ingredient list and by the ratio: real bisglycinate always holds about 10 to 14% magnesium. Ours is 100% bisglycinate, in capsules instead of tablets, so no binders, coatings or magnesium stearate.
How to take it
1 to 2 capsules a day with a glass of water. Many people take it in the evening; with a meal if you have a sensitive stomach.
